The great Kirsten Dirksen has spent the last 15 years chronicling experiments in how people live.
I was thrilled when she popped by Radish to film a feature on our life there. Meet some of the characters involved, hear about some of the design choices (both good and regrettable), and check out the general scene over in Oakland.
(One note: We found the “friends couldn’t afford rent” title to be a little misleading … there is no magic solution for high home prices in urban areas. Land costs what it costs, and people at Radish pretty much pay market rent.)
For those who haven’t been following along from the beginning, here’s the back story on Radish:
This looks so amazing. We live in Longfellow in Oakland, so this must be near us. Something like this is our dream.
If "riblings" isn't sticking, maybe try "nibblings"? (neighborhood siblings + the play on nibble, cause the ones you got now are so tiny :)))
